Who are we?
Gumbley’s Music School is a place where any person of any age or ability can come to explore the exciting avenue that is music! We have a roster of amazing tutors that all have a vested interest in building a community of musicians and music lovers. All our tutors are active, working musicians with years of education and experience in their field. Our goal is not just to make great players but to create a space where anyone can enjoy learning and playing an instrument, either on their own or in a group. It is our strong belief that anyone can learn an instrument with time and patience. Music is a part of our nature, we use it all the time to entertain, communicate and express ourselves – it doesn’t come easy, but it is extremely exciting!
Where it all began
Gumbley’s music school is owned by Jason Gumbley who has been teaching since 2016. The demand for drum lessons was too high to cope and requests for other instrument lessons such a guitar and piano were coming in from student’s parents/siblings/friends etc. Jason partnered up with one of his good friends John, who just so happened to be one of his students! Jason and John came across a building in Studley that was up for sale right on the high street – the building was old and not well looked after but after 12months of some TLC, the building was renovated to fantastic condition and is now shared by Gumbley’s Music School and Elite Escapes. Gumbley’s Music School is now host to some brilliant tutors and their students!
Other Musicians
Music is one of the few universal languages which is why playing with other people is extremely important! At Gumbley’s Music School we strive to bring musicians together through student band sessions, yearly student showcase gigs and online sharing on youtube, Facebook etc! School of Rock style! There is plenty of free parking in Studley below is some info about the top 3 places that we recommend:

Road parking on Marble alley – Marble alley is the road that forks off from the main high street at the back of Gumbley’s, spaces here are limited but it’s free for 2 hours, perfect for those longer sessions. https://maps.app.goo.gl/FGAeZmy22WTszbwc7

Finding us
We are on the corner of the main high street at the bottom of the hill and you can see our sign on the front of the building, if you’re still having trouble finding us then please contact your tutor!
