The Facilities
Gumbley’s Music School is based in Studley and has top quality facilities for your lessons!
The Front room
The front room is where your tutor will greet you, there’s a small seating area and lots of cool records!
The Drum/band room
The Drum/Band room is very versatile. Mainly this room is used for Drum lessons and student band sessions, however we can also accommodate a range of other instruments due to the large interior space and its sound-proofing qualities! This room reduces the volume of all sound by around 55% meaning we are one of the few local music schools that can offer drum lessons on a full size acoustic kit without worrying about the noise! The room contains the following:
- Acoustic drum kit (Mapex Mars in white diamond finish)
- Electronic drum kit (Roland TD-07)
- Full PA system with mixing console
- Headphones
- Bass Amp (RedSub BA-60)
- Keyboard (Roland Go)
The Guitar Room
The Guitar room is a fantastic space, designed specifically for stringed instruments such as Guitar, Bass and Ukulele there is plenty of space for both the tutor and the student to enjoy a guitar lesson in this very cool room! Inside you will find:
- Guitar amps x 2 (Fender Mustang)
- Bass amps x 2 (Fender Rumble)
- Electric guitar for student use (Squier Bullet Stratocaster)
- Bass for student use (Ibanez GSR180)
- 3/4 size acoustic guitar for student use (Yamaha CS40II)
The Piano room
The Piano room is a fantastic space for piano students as we have both an acoustic upright piano and a digital piano. This means both the student and tutor can play at the same time, allowing for duets or songs that require accompaniment. The digital piano has a range of built-in sounds other than that of a piano, meaning, for example, that the tutor can play strings or organ to accompany the student’s piano playing. The piano room has:
- Acoustic upright Rogers piano (freshly serviced and tuned)
- Electronic digital Piano (Casio AP250)
- Sound-treated wall for good acoustics
The Waiting Room
